A typical pre-study project generally consists of several parts:

Assessment of the current ecosystem

Audit of your data analytics ecosystem includes looking into the existing analytics solutions within the organization, understanding their purposes, assessing their performance and evaluating whether they are fit for the job your company needs them to perform.

Exploration of the business needs

We will lead interviews with the key business stakeholders and understand their operational and advanced/analytical data needs. The workshops will happen under the guidance of a functional data analytics consultant from our side - a person who has experience in a related business area and deeply understands the business context as well as the most typical data needs. As a result of these workshops, we will discover and classify the breadth and urgency of the data needs for the main business functions.

Technical architecture options

After understanding the analytics needs and current solutions within your organization, we are able to propose viable technical architecture options, which include detailed components for various steps of the flow of data. We will evaluate and offer several alternatives, which are considerate of your specific circumstances and priorities.

Closing Workshop

At the end of the pre-study initiative, we will lead a closing workshop, where we present the findings - assessment of the status quo, data requirements by business function, viable architecture scenarios - with the goal to explain and guide our client not only through what we are proposing - but also why it is so. If applicable, a part of the closing materials is also the initial scope and potential implementation timeline for the first phase of your data analytics journey - be it a relatively straightforward enhancement or a full-fledged DWH implementation.
